Pros: Allows you to accept credit card payments
Cons: slow on deposits to your account(s)
The Bottom Line: There are less expensive services but they aren't through Ebay yet.
Over all fair but slow service.

| caithnessfan's Full Review: BillPoint |
I have used BillPoint for about 3 years now, since EBAY
started to offer the on line payment option.
They have several benefits.
1. You can accept on line credit card payments.
2. BillPoint sends you an email confirming the person has paid using a credit card.
3. They let you know when to expect the funds to be deposited into your account.
4. You can take electronic check payments as well.
On the other hand, they have several detractors as well
1. They are SLOOOOOWWWWW in transfer of funds from
their account to yours. Average wait is 5 banking days for
me so far.
2. They have rather steep fees for providing this service.
Processing fees are
.01-15.00 =.35 (quite reasonable I think)
15.01-500 = .35 + 2.5% (Seems a bit much to me)
For transactions non-USA there is an additional 1% fee
Since I'm going through ebay.com for the service there is a $500 max limmit and a general purpose $250 limmit.
You can also use BillPoint for on line checks as well.
The fees for this are a bit less but there is also a .5%
fee for transfering the money into your account after the processing fees which are
0.01 - $15.00 $0.35 + 0.00%
$15.01 - $200.00 $0.35 + 1.50%
Per Transaction Limit: $200.00
Customer service has been from fair (adequate) to slightly
above average when I've had cause to use them.
I have only used the on line and email services so can not
speak of the quality of personal service on the phone.
Usual wait time for reply via email has been 12-24 hours.
There are several other companies out there now that
provide the same service and I think that most of them are
a bit less expensive on the higher end uses (over $15.00)
I have checked into Surepay, and Pay Pal a year and a half ago or so and they were less expensive to use but they were not linked to EBAY so I've stayed with BillPoint.
