As an extensive user of eBay, I'm always interested in features which can help me in my buying and selling... but this one is NOT a good deal! I first became aware of it through prominent ads placed on eBay, so like a good eBayer, I went and checked it out... and very quickly became unimpressed!!
The best feature of Billpoint is that it provides a way to make online payments for auction items. However, PayPal provides this service for free and is already in use by thousands of people on eBay. (So far I've only seen one seller who accepts Billpoint.)
The worst features of Billpoint are:
It charges the seller an excessive fee for each transaction. I see no reason to pay a high price for a service I can receive free elsewhere.
Also, it requires the seller to fill out a somewhat detailed "invoice" type form for each transaction; again this is not required on PayPal. It does not make sense to me to both pay and create extra work for myself on Billpoint when better service is available at no cost.
I do not recommend Billpoint for anyone.
