Upon moving, I went to my Paypal profile to change my address. I discovered a shocking flaw - there was an "approved" name and address listed there which was not me. After 3 phone calls and several escalations, I found out that someone had stolen my credit card info, had gotten through Paypal's security questions, changed my password and then added this false name in a "hidden" area reserved for approved gift addresses within Paypal. This all occured SIX MONTHS ago and I was never contacted. I further found out that the hacker had tried to charge something (they wouldn't tell me what or when or how) and that Paypal rejected the charges BUT, they still never contacted me and would not tell me how they determined that the potential charges were fradulent.
The hacker had my full credit card info and an approved name embedded in Paypal and Paypal did not think they should contact me to let me know. This conpamy will leave your money and info at risk and I'd advise looking very carefully through your profile to make sure that all the approved names are yours. Actually, I'd suggest moving to a more secure payment system like I'm doing.
