I have had Datek Online service for over a year now. They have a fast and easy to use website. The executions are handled pretty fast. I have a couple of major problems, though. One is when it says the servers are offline or unreachable. I want to get in to put a trade and this is the message I'd get for hours. The tech support is good, but they don't like admitting their mistakes... This is how so: A couple of months ago, I deposited a check for $20000. After a week, it was in my account. I invested all of it. But I kept getting cancelled orders and such. One day I login and see the $20000 still in my available cash. I thought it was not invested, so I put it all in eBay. A couple of days later, I get an email saying if I don't sell the socks I bought, they would do it for me. I was like "what?" It appears that a software glitch had reported my cash more than it was already. So i couldn't sell because eBay kept falling and I Didn't want to lose money for their mistake. I waited a while and sure enough they sold the stocks. They also told me that I could not buy anything for 90 days, just sell. Their computers made a mistake and I got screwed. This was not the only occasion that my money had been reported incorrectly. But above all, it is a very good service. I haven't had any problems since.
