I have been with Fidelity Investments for over two years after being with a traditional broker. I have more than quadrupled my money with Fidelity and investing on my own. When I was with the traditional broker, I did not do my own research, and depended on him to tell me what to buy and sell and when to do so. He consistenly lost money for me, or never kept up with the great buys.
Once I started doing research on Fidelity, and started trading on line I was able to improve my returns immediatly. The customer service is fabulous, and when I first started, I would call almost every day with questions. They were very friendly, and walked me through all the transactions I wanted to do at first.
The research is very accurate, the news is instant, and the real time quotes are great. You can see your balances, and next to them see the real time quotes if you want to make a trade immediately.
Now that I have been using Fidelity for over two years, I will never try another firm. I am so happy with them not only for the simplicity of using their site, but for the friendly customer service.
I am now in the process of learning how to use their Power Street site, and am looking forward to after hours trading. I even went into a Fidelity office the other day where one of the reps showed me the free pager they give out and how to use it. I have not started yet, and am waiting for some free time to learn more about it. But I know that once I start to use it, it will be another added benefit that will be very profitable.
I encourage anyone to try Fidelity, it is very reasonably priced for each trade, and they offer many many great services!!
