Folks, if you're looking to save money through a web site that only requires minimal investing, then Sharebuilder is wonderful. It's great to watch your dollars and cents add up day to day. Of course, it's frustrating if your stock choice loses a couple bucks because as a result your account dwindles. Really, though, Sharebuilder is supposed to be great.

However, I can't say that the customer service is all that spectacular. It's really a shame when you want to get your money and the site won't allow you to have it! All I want to do is cash in and close my account. According to Sharebuilder's policy, it should take 2 days or less for a representative to get back to you with a personalized response to your question. On the contrary, it took several inquiries before I received a reply in regards to closing my account.

I am quite disgruntled and perturbed that it took so long for Sharebuilder to answer my question. Also, they didn't really answer my initial question. I basically want the dough and want to close my account permanently, having all personal information removed from this site.

In the reply I received, I was told to click on "request a check from Sharebuilder" which is under some link on the site. This response didn't really satisfy me since nothing was acknowledged about closing my account. Just to humor them, I did try what they said to do. Requesting a check didn't work for me. Even though I have money in my Sharebuilder account, I was told I didn't have any when clearly I do. At this point, I'm thinking that Sharebuilder is out of their gourd.

So I emailed Customer Service AGAIN and rehashed my scenario about getting my money and closing account. I have emailed three times. 4-5 days have passed and I've yet to get a response. I am very annoyed with the lack of "Customer Service" that Sharebuilder has.

Well folks, I have no idea when or if I'll ever get my hands on my rightfully deserved money. Until then, I can't say I'd recommend anyone to invest with Sharebuilder. They might as well call it "Share-stealer", because I've seen no sign of getting my cash as of yet.

So if any Sharebuilder investors on Epinions.com have any helpful tips on how to get my money without an unnecessary fee, let me know. I'm sure I'll still be waiting to hear from their not-so-efficient customer service team at Sharebuilder.com.
