The Bottom Line: In a word Netbank is outstanding. I find them reliable, honest, and willing to please.

| SoniaKat's Full Review: NetBank |
A couple of weeks ago, I logged into my NetBank account and discovered a mysterious $5 fee. I wrote an e-mail through the bank-mail system and then scoured the NetBank site for a fee schedule. It took me quite a while to find. There were a few $5 fees none of which should have applied to me.
I decided to check epinions to see what others had to say about Netbank - complaints often lead to solutions. Immediately I found a handful of reviews discussing hidden fees for non-use of bill-pay services. I had my answer.
At first I became disillusioned. For the past few months, I have been raving to anyone who would listen that my Online Bank was a million times better than their New York banks. (I had one to many banks close and become bad experiences at Chase and Citibank.) High Interest Rates beside, I had up to the date account information, access to my balance via my cell phone, helpful and easy to reach phone customer service, no minimum, and no fee interest checking. Suddenly, my bank had failed me by dropping hidden fees on me.
I immediately wrote a second e-mail (deciding that was a calmer method than calling them and screaming.) I stated that their fees were definitely hidden and that I shouldn't be charged for a service that I did not want nor need.
Within an hour, I had a response. I received a short explanation of what the fee was for and why I was charged it. I was then given instructions an how to cancel bill pay so as not to be charged again. And to my relief, an apology and refund.
After the horrible reviews I read and the horror stories I heard, I almost dropped Netbank. However, they totally satisfied me. That day I also decided to reorder checks and bank envelopes. I received those within the week.
A couple weeks later, I realized I had never used my ATM pin number (preferring debit card)and called to get a new pin. Unlike X.com and Compubank, I could not choose a new pin number over the phone or online, but I received a generated one in two days. Not bad.
My only complaint is that occasionally it takes a full day to transfer funds between accounts, but the high interest rates more than make up for that.
