AAA has been around since 1900, currently providing over 43 MILLION members. They have over 1,000 offices located throughout the U.S. and Canada.
We received an offer in the mail. Since many of our family members were AAA members, we decided to join. Here in Ohio, annual membership for my husband and I was only $56.00. After reviewing all the benefits to becoming an AAA member, we felt it was time to became one of those 43 million satisfied customers. Between our yearly vacations, plus a newborn child, we felt AAA would assist us in saving money AND providing help in emergency situations.

I also thought AAA was just used for traveling. They proved me wrong!
Travel Planning
Whether you are an expert or a novice when it comes to travel, AAA is at your fingertips to provide accommodations and preparation for ANY type of travel. This includes DISCOUNTED airline tickets, hotel reservations, rental cars and even vacation packages! If you are driving, AAA provides maps, or TripTik’s® that mark your route and even show where construction and detours are hiding!
The FREE Tourbook® and CampBook® are also available for lodging, sightseeing and even dining. Many of the sites provide discounted rates to AAA members.
Another benefit to becoming an AAA member is they provide up to $100,000 travel accident insurance at NO COST!!! Just plan your vacation through AAA so they know you’re traveling.
Financial Services
AAA members can apply for Auto Loans as low as 6.74%, Home Equity Loans and Lines of Credit . . . as low as 4.75%, and Personal Loans or Lines of Credit. They also offer CD’s (certificate of deposits) and Money Market Accounts. Members are also eligible to apply for an AAA Visa Credit Card with low interest, no annual fee, and numerous other benefits. Also, American Express Travelers Cheques available at NO COST to members, and they even offer a 10% discount at H&R Block offices around the country.
Insurance Services
NOT JUST TRAVEL!!! Whether you need Auto, Home Owner’s, Medical Expense, Accidental or Life Insurance, this is just the beginning of what AAA offers it’s members.
Automotive Services
AAA helps members by offering newer and older drivers with purchasing, maintenance, repairs, and protection for their autos. Want to trade in or sell your car? They even have the Kelly Blue Book available to find what your vehicle may be worth!
Automotive/Emergency Service
24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year! AAA will be available for FREE towing up to 3 miles, flat tires, dead batteries, free fuel delivery, locked doors, and other mechanical first aid situations.
Because some members have abused this service in the past, mainly because of improper vehicle maintenance, AAA has limited members to 4 service calls a year, per car. I feel this is very reasonable and understand the limit.
Other Membership Savings
As a member of AAA, you will also have access to discounted amusement park & movie tickets, special prices at AAA Travel Stores, AAA cellular service, airport parking savings, and a free subscription to an AAA motorists magazine. These discounts vary state to state.
~ AAA Plus Member Benefits ~
Becoming an AAA Plus member provides you with everything above, and then some. Free towing changes to up to 100 miles, travel accident insurance triples up to $300,000, free fuel is providing along with the free delivery, free TravelBook® Guides, and the reimbursement for a locksmith doubles to $100. All of this can be available for less than $20 more than the basic membership.

I requested a quote on for Homeowner’s Insurance this morning. I was emailed instantly and called within 2 hours. I was very impressed with their response time! Also, they’re rates are very comparable to other leading companies. My husband and I may be making the switch to AAA Home!

After we joined AAA, we quickly received a packet in the mail containing our membership benefits, contact information, coupons and our membership card and stickers. I’ve used AAA numerous times in the past 7 months and all I can say is I will be a member for the rest of my life. AAA is reliable, honest and provides extra protection to my family. Whether I’ve needed directions for a vacation or a flat tire changed, AAA has been there for our family.
