I have been a customer of Amica nearly seven years now, since I first was licensed to drive, and was insured under my parents' policy. Since then I have had the unfortunate opportunity to place several claims with them, all of which were handled in a very timely, very personal manner. Just this past spring, I was involved in an accident which totaled my New Beetle (see my review of Volkswagen safety under it's header). I immediately placed a call to Amica, from the scene of the accident, at about 6:15 on a Friday evening, and was speaking to a claim adjustor before I was carried away by the ambulance. By 2:00 the next Friday I had a check in hand.
In the interim time between my Beetle and my new Golf, I rented a Dodge Neon from Enterprise, which, unsurprisingly enough, was stolen from my home parking lot. Again, I had no trouble dealing with Amica. I had only to inform them of the loss, and they handled everything else necessary to close out the claim.
I have found Amica easy to work with in regards to policy changes, of which I have made several in the past few years. Their staff has always handled my needs in the most timely of manners, providing me with all necessary information with absolutely no hassles whatsoever. I would recommend Amica to anyone looking to work with a reputable, relatively inexpensive insurance company.
