Pros: Incredible service, cheaper rates than others. Friendly staff that check up on you.
Cons: Only one, no 6 month coverage, only yearly but who cares, go yearly.
The Bottom Line: I became a victim of misfortune, but in the end, after it was all said and done, I was the winner again by having AMICA.

Well, the only way to test an Insurance company is to test them. How do you test them? Well, unfortunately it's when you become the victim of misfortune. I became a victim but in the end, after it was all said and done, I was the winner again.
RATES
Very competitive. I had an accident in 1998. At that time I was with PROGRESSIVE and when I renewed my insurance, I was robbed. They wanted to charge me SO much just for that accident that was 50/50 at fault. A cab driver hit me at intersection, and because it was a FLASHING RED light I was at, no way to prove it. So, after 6 months of having them I decided to look elsewhere. OK, I used to drive 1998 NEON. With $25,000 Liability and $25,000 Coll, $15,000 Supplementary Coverage. No Death Benefit. No glass coverage. Other than not having FULL GLASS (which is extra) it was FULL COVERAGE for my NEON. I was being robbed, I DID have a speeding ticket as well so my RECORD is not the best now because of this dumb accident. So I decided to look elsewhere. I live in Rochester, NY and across the street to where I work is Amica. I called them up and they got me into an Underwriter and they said we can save me a lot of money. So I looked at what they wanted to offer me. This is what I got, all this and I saved $380 NOT going with PROGRESSIVE. I cannot tell you how happy I was! I will mark everything with an asterisk* that I DID NOT HAVE with Progressive that I DO have with AMICA.
Full Glass Coverage*
Rental Car for up to 30 days at $30/day*
Included Uninsured Motorists Coverage*
$250 Deductible* (I had $500 w/ Progressive)
Death Benefit of $3000*
$300,000 Liability Each Accident* ($25,000 w/ Progressive)
Just to name a few, can you see how much MORE I am getting at $380 less? WOW!
Plus, you get either a 5-10% discount on CAR insurance if you go with AMICA for your HOME insurance. Which is AMAZING coverage. Parents and when I get my house in 2 months, I will be going with them.
What If?
Well, like I said, I had an accident and I think I am out of the bad. Nope. I got broken into. 1998 Neon's are EASY to break into incase you are wondering. They damaged the steering wheel and tried to 'hack' the key cylinder. Drive-less. Must be replaced. AC vents bashed in, CD PLAYER destroyed. They apparently tried to steal the car. Kids and they didn't know what they were doing.
Called AMICA - they had a rep call me within 1 hr of the accident because I logged it on the website. They called me up and asked if the vehicle was driveable. It was not, so they hooked me up with ENTERPRISE "pick you up" RENTAL CAR. I was in a vehicle that night! For 1 week I was in a Corolla (read my review on that hehe) and I loved it.
Working with the local gal at the Amica office was pleasant. After the car was fixed, the appraiser didn't see that the CD player wasn't able to play CD's (radio worked) so I contacted them and Molly sent me out another check for the new CD PLAYER. One thing about AMICA I hear is, if you pay your BILL, they will NEVER cancel you. Some insurance companies will cancel you if say, you get into an accident like me and then have something other misfortune happen like, say, get broken into. I won't mention the name of the PROGRESSIVLEY more expensive company but you can figure it out ;)
CUSTOMER SERVICE
All I will say is A+ Nuff said.
A+ Company.
