I don't know if I have much to add to the already glowing opinions of Amica but I want to cast my vote and at least add to the positive view. It would be really interesting to see or read someone with any 'negative' views on Amica. Personally, I don't think it is possible.
I have been an Amica customer for about a decade. My family has processed multiple claims of several types with Amica and all have been handled with efficiency and excellence. The two types I am mentioning would be those incidents in which another car was 'at fault' in causing vehicle damage, and those in which no other car was involved. The former included a recent incident in which my Honda was damaged in the front and back as a result of a driver plowing into the car in a line-up of cars waiting for a light. These claims can be very, very frustrating for all concerned because the two insurance companies work out whatever financial payments are to be received or denied. In this case the claim was open for almost a year and my wife had contact with our claims person at Amica at least once a week. The contact was always incredibly patient and understanding and we believe firmly that Amica was doing everything possible to expedite the claim. Everything was resolved to our satisfaction eventually.
The latter type of incident in which the vehicle was damaged without the involvement of another vehicle is handled flawlessly by Amica. The checks usually arrive in a matter of DAYs. Not weeks.
That is all I can say - except to point out one critically important factor - for all of the damage claims and one or two speeding tickets over the 10 years we have not been dropped or had our rates increased significantly.
That is astounding and truly something to be thankful for as a consumer. They are a GREAT company.
