Geico has some of the worst claims practices in the industry. I would urge you to look elsewhere for insurance. Please be aware that GEICO and other auto insurers are trying to do with their comercials is to make the general public believe that people are not injured in automobile accidents. When was the last time you saw a GEICO commercial that showed someone in the hospital or at the doctors office due to being injured in a collision? The answer is never, what they have is peter frampton, the pips, charro, cavemen, a lizard (gecko) joan rivers, etc in a setting that is more akin to a party atmosphere than the realities that exist when people are devastatingly injured in collisions. GEICO is at the forefront of this campaign to desensitize the general public to the realities of car crashes. Do not support them as they are greedy and do not pay claims. Look where Geico ranks on www.badfaithinsurance.org there are several companies with much better rankings. Another tactic that GEICO likes to use is to hire a doctor to "examine" you and opine that you are not hurt, which is what they get paid to say. IT is a fraud and a scam and they are profiting in a major way while denying claimants what they are entitled to under the insurance contract.
