I signed up with State Farm Insurance Company nine years ago when I had been back ended while sitting at a red light. The car that struck me had carried State Farm Insurance and I was very pleased and impressed with how they handled my claim. They even arranged for a car to be delivered to me for use while mine was in the shop. As a result, I changed my insurance over to them. There have been a few claims which were paid without too much hassle, such as when my car rolled down a hill when I was not in it. There have been a number of rate increases that were explained to me as normal since rates were increased by living in a high traffic district because my community has been under rapid development. However, I recently bought a new van and when I was talking with the dealer about adding it to my insurance, he offered to take care of it for me. He called me back and said that I was paying an awfully high premium for my car. I checked around and found that I could get full coverage on my van and liability on the old vehicle for $50.00 less a month than I had liability on the 2 old vehicles. This seems to indicate unreasonable rates have been charged to me. I hope that this review will warn other State Farm Insurance members to check around and see if they are being taken advantage of also.
