I have never writtne a review before so this wiil be my first stab at it.  My State farm agent is great, helpful, kind, quick to help and respond, the problem is with State farm claim adjusters.  My expereince with them has been horrible. I have had insurance through state farm for the past 10 years, home owners and car insurance. I've only filed 2 claims.  When my car was stolen stolen I called the police then filed a claim.  the insurance adjuster treated me like a criminal. He wouldn't answer any questions.  Denied payment on almost everything.  I had to go through weeks of run arround to finally get anything that was supposed to be covered on my policy. In the end I paid for most of it, several thousand more than my deductable and although my agent was nice state farm is not.  Recently some wind storms have damaged a lot of roofs in my area.  I called a roofing expert and they said after a thourough inspection and showing me the problems that even though my roof didn't look that bad there was extensive wind damage and I needed to replace the roof.  They even took the time to show me the damage.  I wanted to be sure so I called another roofing company with the exact same estimate.  I filed a claim they sent a claims agent out and he said there was only minor damage and state farm would only cover 100 dollars of the 7,000 dollars required to replace the roof.  they sent in the claim, sent me a check for 100 dollars which is now on my record and increases my premiums.  I called another roofing company out to look at the roof, they told me the claims adjuster didn't know what they were doing and said the roof obviously needs to be replaced.  So I had a conference call with the claims office at State Farm at the end of the discussion they didn't care that I had 3 different written quotes for a full roof replacement, they admitted that the adjuster that came out wasn't a disaster adjuster and didn't have the proper experience but maintained that there was only minimal damage and they wouldn't cover it.  To anyone out there with State Farm Switch insurance before you find out how they work.  Don't be fooled by a nice insurace agent.  State Farm isn't looking out for you.  And for those who don't think it will happen to them - good luck.
