Good review... (Reply to this comment)

I had State Farm for 30 years until my daughter rear ended a car in a driving rain storm. She had been at a bar, had a couple of drinks but was not intoxicated. She broke bones in her foot, which was previously injured, trying to stop her car before hitting the other car. She refused politely to take a breath test from a city cop who then roughly cuffed her (didn't arrest)and didn't believe her when she told him of her injury and wouldn't let her use a telephone. She had been advised to not take the test previously by friends. I wished she would have taken it because in Texas when you refuse to take the breath test your license is suspended for 6 months, guilty or not. So State Farm kicked her off of my policy. Progressive immediately covered her and we've been with them ever since.

I am not happy with them either. I have been with them for over 20 years. During all this time I have never filed a claim. Yet, my insurance went from around $500/year to $1600/year. They blamed the California wild fires but yet the fires never hit my neighborhood. Very frustrating.
