Pros: I can find no redeeming factors in the Travelers Ins. Company
Cons: Travelers wants your business (money), beware if you file a claim.
The Bottom Line: I recommend that people check out Insurance Companies very carefully before they choose, because afterwards if you need to file a claim it'll be too late.

| frontiermaggie's Full Review: Travelers - Home |
I have Travelers Home owner insurance through Geico. It's over 8 months since I had a house fire ( January 2009) and to this day (9/30/09)Travelers still hasn't finished settling my claim. Travelers are so cold and unfeeling, I've been through a real tragedy, a hardship, I have not been able to live in my house these past 8+ months. The stress from all of this has been making me sick. I made it this far only because of help from friends and family. I couldn't afforded to pay for the reconstruction/repairs myself but even if I could've I was told by the Travelers Insurance Co. that I can't make repairs incase they need to re-inspect the property. So I'm at Travelers mercy, which they've shown me none. I've even filed a complaint against Travelers Insurance Co. and the adjuster with the NYS Ins. Dept. but all they did was forward my complaint to Travelers. Travelers weren't concerned, It seems that the NYS INS. Dept. have no real power or they don't care. About 3 weeks ago I received partial payment for my claim, so I've started repairs. I hope by next month, before the winter comes I'll be back home again and maybe the claim will be finally settled. Travelers are the worst insurance company I've ever seen. The Travelers agents seem caring at first when they want your business, but watch out should you have a claim. I learned the hard way. Once this claim is finally settled I'm changing Insurance companies, I've had enough.
