USAA has been fabulous. The low rates, the ease of service, the rebate checks you receive if USAA makes a profit, policyholders receive a percentage of that profit in the form of check in the mail. I had a break-in of my car - lost a substantial amount of goods although no vehicle damage. I called USAA and filed a claim. The rep was very very helpful and efficient - faxing forms and papers I needed to get the job done. In two weeks I had a very fair settlement and they even went so far as to take into account replacement value of some items - i.e. my cell phone was no longer made so they allowed me to get a phone that cost more than my original phone. I keep accurate records of all my purchases so I think having documentation of all the items lost helped in expediting this claim. I have recommended it to all my family members who are eligible and they all are very very pleased.
