It's a shame that Insurance company is only available to Military members and their families. If every insurance company were like this one, people wouldn't constantly search for a "better deal", or swap insurance horror stories at the water cooler.
If you're in the military and you're not with USAA - YOU'RE MAKING A BIG MISTAKE.
Their rates are very low. They've even given us a refund the last few years! (Unheard of anywhere else!!).
Their customer service is EXCELLENT!! They help you out with some of the many complications that face military customers who need insurance not only in different states - but in different countries! It's all hassle free. They handle every detail, then even call you back and confirm all is OK.
You can do everything with them by phone. Claims, are processed FAST. If you also have other insurance with them (I have my homeowners policy with them also), everything comes on one bill. That's nice.
I won't even search for a "better deal". Even if another company were a few pennies cheaper, they could never hold a candle to the customer support you get from USAA. Isn't that what counts?
