Pros: 800#, no agents
Cons: after 7yrs and no claims - they double my premiums to show their appreciation
The Bottom Line: fellow military members - shop around and no longer just blindly assume USAA is best. they have made a dramatic change for the worse

loyalty is a one way street w/ these folks. after 7 yrs w/ no claims my premium went from $356 to $693 this year. when I called they provided no reason and basically told me to take it or leave it. well, I choose to leave it. I went to Armed Forces Insurance (AFI) and got a much better policy for about $400. give AFI a call at 1-800-495-8234 and comparison shop. USAA is living on a 40yr old reputation, but no longer providing the service or rates necessary to maintain it. I'm just glad I got out before I had a claim and they really had an opportunity to shaft me. they have become just another insurance company interested only in collecting your premium and resisting all attempts a paying claims.
