Pros:Old imagined belief that USAA will have your back upon a claim. Cons:They try EVERYTHING that they can to get out of paying a claim. The Bottom Line: I would stay away, they are not the OLD USAA that they once were. Its a shame of how they are treating the military families these days.
I have had USAA for around 20 years and their service has gone down hill. BUYER BEWARE!!!!! The old USAA has gone far away. They will take you money gladly year after year but if you file an insurance claim they will try to get out of anything that they can. The days of keeping the customer happy have long gone. If they can get out of something in the contract they will. An example of this would be if a pipe leaks they will charge you your deductible and try to just fix the leak EVEN if the plumber says the pipe should be replaced. They did this to me trying to get MULTIPLE DEDUCTIBLES FOR THE SAME LEAK!!!!!!!!!! It has gotten SO bad that the water company has told me that I am abusing my water privledges and they will shut my water off permanately. My water bill has gone from about $80 to over $300 per month. So tell me is it worth having a company like USAA have your back who is supposed to insure you when you have a problem. If you think you are getting a company that will stand by you THINK AGAIN. Dont let my mistake be one that you do.
