I felt as if I was going to be the one voice with a positive experience to retell regarding VPI. I surely do appreciate your taking the time to craft this review and convey your personal experiences with this concern.
I believe you hit the nail on the head when you mentioned that you consider any health insurance a necessary evil, so to speak. I have been reading reviews in this category for the past hour and some of the stories are hair raising. Rude representatives and a lack of caring on the part of phone service personnel seem to be the norm for others posting reviews. For me, this was not the case.
I received nothing but superior service and all claims continue to be handled in a most professional, expedient manner. Had I suffered at the hands of those louts mentioned by others, my comments and the retelling would have spewed bile long distance (ala Linda Exorcist Blair)!
Thanks for sharing your experience and for taking the time to craft this wonderful review.

Hi Meg, Sorry to hear about your dog... Our neighbors have 2 dogs -- well, had 2 - 1 died of cancer a few months ago and now their other dog (sibling of the first) was just diagnosed... I wish you the best and thank you for reading my review. Susan

Be glad you have the insurance! (Reply to this comment)

We briefly thought about getting it for our two dogs way back when they came to our house. 9 years of procrastination later, we still don't have the insurance, but one of our dogs has been diagnosed with cancer... Since I have been told that about 60% of all dogs end up dying of cancer (diagnosed or not), make sure you don't forget to renew the policy one of these days.
