Cons: hidden fees everywhere

I thought this credit union was pretty incredible at first. We had planned to stay with them for a while, but when we moved we found out about all the hidden fees.(We moved half way across the world) However, we still planned to stay loyal members. We had a Visa check card. (very convenient) Well, two months after moving we finally got our bank statement saying that we were in debt. It seems every time you use your Visa check card they charge you a fee. When it's not one of there "connected" users. We were furious. We had gone into a branch before we moved to ask specifically about fees and surcharges, and were told we had nothing to worry about! To say the least we immediately closed our account, and I will never do business with them again.
