| sillyome's Full Review: Navy Federal Credit Union |
Well!!!
They have finally ruined my credit history once and for all!!!
Let me start with the their inadequate CS.
1. two years ago I have reported to the Navy FCU that my place of residence has been burgularized, and I request a stop payment on certain serial of checks. I do have to place the blame to myself because I should of keeping that report on record instead. When I re-order new checks from the Navy FCU a year ago, the Navy FCU send me the same number of checks that I have put a stop payment on 2 years ago. Oh...lets just say, recently I have written couple checks with a good amount on it with that serial of checks that was supposed to have a stop payment of two years ago because of the redunancy of my checks reorder a year back. This mistake has come and hunt me, and bungle me into chaos that I have to run all over the island and payee to explain to them of this misunderstanding with Navy FCU. Of course, now I am under the bad light, that I have bounced my checks!!! I am wordless about this misunderstand that the Navy FCU has put me under. Never in my life. Have I ever bounced a check!!! But thanks to Navy FCU, on their worthlessness CS, I am been viewed by those who I have send out my checks to, that I am one are the scumbag!!
2. I haven't been able to used my ATM card since I remember when. I have requested a new pin to send to me sometime in 2002. Till this day, I haven't even received my new pin. When I call to the bungling CS, they even check their record and shows that I have call about this request. Oh, I have called them last month inquiry about this pin. still haven't yet received anything from them. hmm...What was their excuse that they given me...let me think...oh yes. the mailing system. tsk tsk, the Hawaiian mailing system to be the blame.
3. I have started IRA through Navy FCU 3 years back. With the recently years of stock market, and the economy. The interest rate has drops to the bottom. So I decided to seek out the Financial Advisor of Navy FCU in OAHU, HI. Well, lets just say I was appalled by the slim ball consultant. He tried to play me as an gullible service member that do not have a clue about the market. The reason I went there in the first place is that I would not have the time to manage the fund myself. and I would like some one who is sharp to manage my fund and see that it will generate a good amount of return. Thanks to Navy FCU's Mutual fund consultant, I decided to handle my own funds. That sure cuts down the commission fees. At the time, I was purchasing a used car, and financed thru the bank. The slime ball consultant told me to just paid the minmum on my loan and carry out the loan period of two years so I can built my credit line. Which I told him, I rather paid my loan off in 6 month then to drag out the two years. I disagree with his idea of building up my credit line. I find his suggestions were delirium. He wasnt help me as a customer more as he was helping himself. I was not impressed by his spill. Sometime I hated how those people who work in the bank, they sure take the service member as suckers.
4. Whenever the 1st, and the 15th of the month. If you happen to walk into the Navy FCU to withdraw money from the teller You would have to waited a good 15-20 min. and the line would be formed all the way out to the door!!! They have about 6 window open, still they are slow beyond believed. I have account with the Hickam FCU, and I was surprised when I walk into Hickam FCU on the 1st,15th of the month they have about 4 teller open up, and there is no waiting time to withdraw from them. I was complete shock by the difference of CS from this two bank. Hickam FCU's CS seem to know their customer by 1st name basis with a warm smile, while the Navy FCU's CS with stiff smile and couldn't wait til you get out of their windows so they can go on their break.
5. on-line banking. Hmm. I just check my on-line banking service with Navy FCU. Today is February 18th, 2003. the last update to my account was in February 13th, 2003. Believed me I have some transaction from that day to this day. Even though this updated on February 13th, 2003. I can go back to it maybe next day. I would see more updates on the February 13th, 2003 on some credit card transaction or some checks that was cleared earlier to the 13th of February but wont be updated till GOD Know when. When I called their lousy customer service about this slowness in their updates to my accounts. Their excuse was the timiliness of the payee deposit my check through their banks. What kind of lame excuse is this. It won't be posted to my account til 10 days later, and when it got posted it got posted the date it got cleared and it was pro-dated/predated onto my online banking system. The best system I can come up with was to keep myself on-track then to relied on the ineffective online banking service.
Theres lot more I would like to included, but I think this will give you a good picture of what I went through. Like I say NO MORE BULLING ME. I HAVE ENOUGH!!!!!!!!!
