| Jennd417's Full Review: Navy Federal Credit Union |
I was raised in a military family. My father retired as a MCPO in the Navy. When we were younger he opened up accounts for my brother and I at NFCU. I married a man in the Navy and I am still a member of NFCU.
When I got married my husband and I were looking for a good bank, one that is trust worthy. I mentioned NFCU since I was already a member there. When we went up there I opened an account for him because unless serving on overseas or sea duty active duty personal can not open an account.
They have been the best. They are customer oriented. We have a car loan through them and the rate is really good for a used car loan (8.25 %). It was easy to apply for the loan and we were told right on the spot we were eligible.
NFCU's checking and savings accounts are great. You need to have a savings account and uphold a 5.00 monthly balance to open a checking account. My husband's paycheck goes in direct deposit. It is easy and convenient and there is no charge for this service.
NFCU now has internet access. It is very easy to navigate the site. The site is www.navyfcu.org. The web site also has calculators to use if you are looking into future car loans or home mortgages.
NFCU has been a great bank.
