Re: When you move.... (Reply to this comment)

As you're saying to yourself: "three years and you're just now getting back to me!" Well it's a long story. I have considered USAA for my banking as well; however, I just can't shake the friendly people at the CU. Plus now that I have worked there (since writing the review so please don't think there is a bias there) I know the people on truely personal level--instead of a semi-personal level. Thanks for the suggestion though.

When you move.... (Reply to this comment)

...you may want to consider USAA for banking as well. You'd be surprised at just how easy it is to bank from a distance. In fact, many other military credit unions and banks model their own programs after USAA.
USAA only offers ONE type of checking account, but that's actually a good thing - it's similar to what many banks offer to their best customers, but USAA offers it to everyone. It's completely free, with a small amount of interest paid if the average balance is over $1K. 10 ATM transactions are free each month, and they also rebate the fees other banks charge, up to $1.50 each time. They also pay 0.5% back on every debit card purchase, which can add up to be better than an interest payment. I could go on and on. Check 'em out when you move, you may never need to change banks again.
