This will be short and sweet( actually sour). While this toy means well it falls way short. I'm a big Fisher Price fan since their products usually hold up really well and they are easy enough for young kids to figure out. This toy meets both of those criteria however it has a flaw that is so big it's hard to justify recommending that anyone waste their money on it. That downfall is that the screen is not backlit or front lit or any lit! Couples with the cloudy grey glass it is impossible to see what you are looking at. If you are not in a bright room you can hardly see the images! My 2 .5 year old has had it for a few days and all she says is "can't see it daddy" "can't seeeee it". She still plays with it, 2 year olds will play with anything but I can't see investing in more discs since you really can't tell what is on the screen. The microphone is another worthless addition. I really don't see how this got past field testing and into production. The leapfrog, while more money, is definitely the way to go.
