Friskies Classic Pate Turkey and Giblets Dinner was a big hit with my two cats, Tiger and Baby Tiger.  They know when they hear the top of the can pop that they are getting their daily "wet" cat food and they get ready to virtually dig in.

This cat food comes in a 5.5 ounce can and this variety has a purple label with a white and brown cat's face on the label.  Friskies Cat Food is made by the Nestle Purina Petcare Company, who states on the label that this cat food contains "100% complete and balanced nutrition for adult cats and kittens." 

The "pate" line of Friskies is a finely ground cat food that would be a great choice for any cat, but especially aging senior cats who may have difficulty chewing up chuncks or bits and pieces.  It is also great for weaning kittens. 

My Thoughts on Friskies Classic Pate Turkey and Giblets Dinner

While the "pate" variety seems to be my cat's favorite variety in the Friskies line of cat food, this one seemed to be a bit lacking in better ingredients.  This didn't affect how my cats liked this food at any rate.  The taste factor is there and my cats loved it just the same.

Usually a total protein and "real meat" is the first item in the ingredient list.  This one has meat by-products as the number one ingredient followed by water and then poultry by-products coming in at the number three spot.  Turkey is listed at number four and poultry giblets at number five. 

Of course Tiger and Baby Tiger both loved it regardless of the ingredients.  However, I picked this can up without reading the ingredients and assumed it was as good nutritionally as the other flavors in the Friskies pate line.  Wrong! 

Overall, I would say this is just an average cat food with all the by-products in the ingredient listing and below average compared to the other flavors in this line of cat food.  I will probably not buy this flavor and variety again since there are other choices in the Friskies line that doesn't contain as many by-products.

Recommendation

I have to go with a slightly belove average rating for Friskies Classic Pate Turkey and Giblets Dinner because of the reason stated above.  It's just below par for this line of cat food.  My cats loved the flavor and I hope that Purina will adjust the ingredients to make this cat food healthier for our feline friends.
