Love it eventhough I had to send it for repair in less than 3 months

Pros:waterproof, shock proof, dust proof, freeze proof, looks cool.
Cons:In less than 3 months I had to send it for repairs.
The Bottom Line: Really great pictures and fun to use all of the shooting features.

All of the spec.'s for this camera are listed in the product description so I'm just going to get to the nitty gritty review.
This camera is waterproof, shock proof, dust proof and freeze proof.  Wow all for the low price of $139.00.  It came with a battery and a 4 gig SD card.

The camera is small enough to fit into a pocket and light enough not to know it is there.

The lens is off-set on the right side of the camera instead of in the center where most lenses are located.  I can only imagine that the reason is because this camera is meant for sporting persons who would probably be using one hand to do something exciting and athletic.  I am left handed and it was a little tricky getting used to it since you have to hold it in you right hand.  If you are left handed and not very good with your right hand then this is not the camera for you.  I found myself using two hands in the beginning and would find that because of the location of the lense I would end up covering the lense or creating a shadow.

There is no view finder so you have to rely on the LCD screen.  The screen is not easily seen in bright sunlight which made it difficult organize a scean.  I am pretty comfortable behind a camera so for me it isn't too disturbing but I wish that there was a setting adjustment for the brightness.  But hey, it's digital.  I just snap a bunch of scenes and delete as needed.

The amount of settings that are on the camera are extensive.  Of course there is the basic point and shoot setting with face detection and red eye reduction but there is so much more.  There is a flower setting which changes the appeture so that you get a macro focus on the close up and it blurrs out the distant background.  I found that setting a lot of fun to play with even when not photographing flowers.  The setting are intuitive and if you understand camera settings and want to have some fun being able to do more than point and shoot this is great.  If you need to know your exact setting that you are shooting with get an SLR.

There are several aspect ratios to set too.  One of my favorites is 16:9 which is the same as your new HD tv when you are watching movies.  The only problem is that when printed you get a white border and you have to cut your photo to remove it.

The photos are crisp and clear.  The detail is amazing.  I have not shot underwater yet so I can not comment on that feature.  The reason I got this camera was that I travel a lot and find myself often in "Somewhere's" rainy season and hiding my camera beneath a rain poncho or in a plastic bag.  I wanted to bread free from that not worry about the rain.

What about my title and the repairs?  Yes, I had the camera less than 3 months, went on one trip and then the camera would show an error message and not shoot.  I would hear a grinding noise in the lense when I turned it on like sand was in the lens.  I sent the camera to Fuji under my warranty for repairs.  When the camera was returned they stated that there was corrosion in the battery compartment and replaced my camera with a new one.  The technician I spoke with said that there were some defective camera's.  Leave it to me to get the defective one.  Now that it is replaced I trust, hope, that it is with one that came from a lot without defects.

If this one lasts I will be supremely happy with this camera.
