My son likes to play Pokemon games on his Game Boy color--Red, Yellow, Blue, Trading Card Game... Unfortunately, this Game Shark is not recommended for any of those games. The booklet states that it could cause possible memory loss when used with those games. The Pokemon games were the only reason he wanted a Game Shark. The Game Shark will work with Pokemon Pinball though.

The directions give a list of games in which "cheat codes" are available. The directions were difficult to understand and made using the shark seem confusing.

The Games Shark plugs in where you normally put the game cartridge and there is a slot in the back to put the real game. The Game Shark gives you unlimited lives, full power, invincibility--the things you need to beat the game.

Just don't buy this if you want to use it with the Pokemon games.
