Pros: TV "controller" mode, was one of the first remotes for PS2.
Cons: Flaws in internal design, no pass-through port, TV mode is lacking critical features

If you're getting or have a PS2, you're probably, at one time or another, going to want to play a DVD on it. And trying to use a controller is going to just be a non-option. So, you're going to have to bite the bullet, and buy a remote control for the DVD player. This is the one I got, as it was one of the few that were available at launch, but now that I see what you can get, I'm regretting it.
First off, the picture that they have at the top of the first page is actually the cheaper DVD only remote, but the DVD/TV remote isn't much different - the only change is the fact that there is a mode switch at the bottom of the keypad. It fits in your hand easily, as it is only about 6 inches long, and an inch and a half wide. Unfortunately, I do wish that they had spent more time working on the INTERNAL design. In the first models (I don't know if the problem has been fixed) the Enter and Cancel buttons are reversed in DVD mode. That is plain annoying. but even worse is the fact that they advertise it as a TV remote, but it lacks such amenities as a TV/video feed button, or, for that matter, a POWER button! And there's no pass-through port here - it's either remote or controller.
My advice? It was good for launch, but there's better now. Steer clear of this, and go for something that is more easily used.
