As a gift I was given a GBA and 2 games. (pacman and finding nemo.) The system itself is quite bulky (but not too heavy) and the system has a giant flaw: NO BACKLIGHT!
The GBA has plenty of games for anyone. (for me: Mario. for someone else: Mario. For a Mario hater: Luigi. for a Luigi hater: Mario. For someone who hates the whole Mario clan: Pac-man.)This system is really out of date (you should get an GBA SP) but if you are on a budget then unless you can find the SP online for a cheap price then I say go retro! Get the GBA!
In 2001 Nintendo releases the Game Boy Advance handheld video game system in Japan. It features 32-bit ARM processor, and 240 x 160 pixel 32,000-color display. Two AA batteries power the system for about 15 hours.(also came in US.)(copied from online)
All in all, this system is old, bulky, has a reflective screen, and has NO BACKLIGHT! But it is a classic.(I used to
have Mario and Luigi: SuperStar Saga and I didn't have my SP
yet so I played under a lamp or sometimes with a little wormie light and it worked!)
