Pros: A great game made even better by extra special features
Cons: This game doesn't show it's age well with no visual up dates
The Bottom Line: An average title with no real improvement if you have the money buy the Game Cube version.

Twenty bucks that's what it cost me brand new fresh off the shelf. So much money spent on my dream cast and so little achieved graphics wise it makes me question why I bought the game. However, in my many questions it also makes me ask why did they make this with no real visual up grades? The story, guns, voice acting, and even the under tones set the grim reality of this game. Yet, it fails and just doesn't hang as one of the better translation of a game to another console. After all everyone would love to have seen an up dated visual graphics engine instead I guess that went to Game Cube or whoever paid the most money. Jokes aside however this is a very well made and translated version of the Play station classic.
Story 5/5
One of the better survival horror games even with age it still delivers a better story then most bitter pills like Silent Hill. The grim story, mental jumps, and physical jumps make this game a great title to own for any system. However, my thoughts are on if they had so much power to re-create this for the dream cast why not add little movies for the files you read? Instead of just reading the file and seeing dark play a movie in the background as your reading it. That's better saved for the graphics department but the story delivers better then any other rip off this side of a B movie.
Graphics 3.5/5
No visual up dates damage this game in more ways then one. However, the dark and creepy surroundings and music make this a must own. The movies and voice acting support the game really well but the visual up dates just are not there. Maybe, twenty bucks for the dream cast version was a mistake. Besides, I bought this brand new and it turned out with no up dates or up grades. That aside however this is the better graphics engine for any survival horror game to date.
Story 3/5
Bad, bad, bad move despite having great features the story is just off with no up dates. If movies had played in the back ground for the files I'd give it a much higher score. The story though sells itself. Your a cop or a young woman caught in the cross fire of zombies taking over a small town. For the cop role your names Leon and your just trying to escape. The woman whose name is Claire is searching for her brother. Through the course of this game it well delivers much of the story. A great game which can deliver on any system.
Over All
A damaged score results from the fact there are no up dates. It looks, feels, and plays the same as the Play station classic. Which means it's the same thing only with more extra features thrown in. Those features turn me off because I'd of liked to of had added movies to the back ground files when your reading them. It would've made them much more interesting to follow. Then again that's just me. Have a nice day folks and a good one at that.
