DJenerate's Full Review: WWF Royal Rumble for Dreamcast
I bought WWF Royal Rumble for my dreamcast, because I trusted the name brand of THQ. I own the excellent game WWF Smackdown! and after playing RR, I was clearly disappointed. The game was updated having the characters like Rikishi and Kurt Angle. The graphics were decent, but not what my expectations were.
I was hoping for an advancment on Smackdown! Create-a-wrestler mode. I couldn't even find a create-a-wrestler mode. This cuts down on the replay value considerably. Sure the whole 9 people in the ring thing is cool, but it seemed quite overwhelming, crowded, and by far, confusing.
The game really didn't have as many match modes as I would have expected. I expected Tables, ladders and chairs......OH MY! Wht about six man tag team matches? By the way, where are 2Cool and the Dudleys?
The game certainly did not live up to my expectations. If you want to play this game, rent it don't bother with it, because from my experience the game didn't last three days.
