GCSWRE's Full Review: Harvest Moon for Game Boy Color
Hum... well, since I can't find Harvest Moon GBC on eopinions, I guess I'll have to write this opinion here. This is the Game Boy Color version of Harvest Moon, which has been on many systems including Super Nes, Game Boy, Game Boy Color, Nintendo 64, and now even Playstation!
The plot is pretty much the same in all the versions, with a few differences in each. Basically you are a young man who has to take care of a farm. Doesn't sound like fun? You just try playing it... you'll never leave.
In order to run your farm, you will need a lot of money. So for most of the time, you'll be running around doing stuff to make money. And you can choose how exactly you make the money too! When you have enough money, you can buy chickens or cows, and make money from milk and eggs. However, there is a downside to this: The more livestock you have, the harder it is to maintain them.
In all Harvest Moon games, there are some extras. I haven't found the extras in this version yet, but there is one extra I wish they would've added to this: The girls. In the Super nes and Nintendo 64 versions, you had a choice of girls, which you could meet and marry one day. This version sadly doesn't have that option :(.
The graphics are fantastic for this version. They look as good as Super nes graphics, which is saying a lot for Game Boy Color graphics.
Overall, this is a fantastic Game Boy Color game. Even without the girls, the gameplay and graphics make up for it. I suggest this game to anyone and everyone!
