This game accidentally fell into my hands when a friend of mine rented it and then found out that his roomate took his N64 home with him! I love to play video games that have any kind of action. Doom, Descent, and Duke Nukem are among my favorites! This game mildly appealed to me when I saw the commercials for it, but when I began playing it, I couldn't stop! I loved the idea that you are a little plastic army guy that runs around trying to rescue the members of your crew. The control isn't the greatest, but in my opinion, it made it very challenging. No, the control isn't realistic, but hey, being a plastic green army guy isn't either! I griped about the control when I began playing it, and then I began to think about it: "if I was made out of plastic and was trying to move, I don't think I'd be moving all too quickly (it'd be kindof like trying to run with highly starched blue jeans)."
The guns are really cool. My three favorites are the flame thrower, the bazooka and the sniper rifle. The flame thrower literally melts the competition. The bazooka is good if you have a ton of tan army guys that you are having a hard time getting rid of. And for my most favorite weapon...the sniper rifle! I like to sneak up on my enemy in the first place, so when I figured out how to use the scope on the rifle, I pegged everyone in sight, so that all I had to worry about were the hidden enemy. The cool part is that you can see bits of plastic fly off of the guy you are shooting!!!
I love the storyline, I love the guns and I love the idea. In my opinion, all these options far outweigh the control problem that everyone talks about! I love this game and I highly recommend it if you love to blow things up.
