happybadger's Full Review: Destruction Derby for Nintendo 64
I originally purchased this game for my son for his Birthday, and from the time we installed the cartridge I've really enjoyed the game.
The graphics are fairly descent, and the driving response with the controllers is truly one of the best I've come across yet, it allows you to play a little crazy, and still remain in control, but you can go over board and lose it.
Another nice twist to the game is the added extra variations of the racing package. The bomb mode, is essentially a timed game of tag, if your too slow to tag another player while your carrying the bomb you blow up, the other optional choice to play is the flag mode....You grab your opponents flag from the upper deck and run through the same colored beam on the lower level to score.
Over all this is a very fun game to play, and if your concerned about game content, ex. ( vulgarity, other words like " Nasty " as in Beetle racing ), that younger children like to repeat over and over, that in turn start to drive you mad, well good news, this one is squeaky clean, even my wife approves of this mighty little program in plastic !
I'd hit this one with 4 out of 5 . Buy it, race it and enjoy !!
