Flaco000's Full Review: Extreme-G XG2 for Nintendo 64
When I first played the game, I loved it....it was eye candy. Even at the high speeds, the game ran fairly fluidly. I couldn't help but keep going to track after track just to see how good that one would be. The control is ok...but not the best i have ever seen. It takes some getting used to, and it is still quirky at that. The developers should have put a little more time working on the control since this is such a high speed game and things can happen in the blink of an eye. Other than that, the selection of cars is great, as is the selection of weapons. I have never played extreme g 1, so i can't compare the two.
The biggest complaint I have is about the menus and the saveing of games. The menus are tricky to understad at first. It is hard to understand what to do next when the game doesn't tell you anything. The game saves come way too infrequently in this game. I would have to go through god knows how many tracks before i could save my game, leading to a lot of time spent unwantingly playing the game to get a cahnce to save it so your place is not lost.
Other than that, i do definately recommend the game for people who like racing fast vehicles on futuristic tracks. This is not your Mario Kart
