Ah, the feeling of playing a good sidescroller. These can be fun after being immersed in 3 and a half years of N64 3D gaming. After all the easy 3D games I've been playing since the release of the N64, this game is a welcome challenge. In a 2D game, all the enemies can be placed so you have to take 'em out, rather than just walking around them in 3D games. While I haven't finished the game yet, the route to where I am in to the game right now has been a good challenge along the way. Bosses usually require some skill to beat, and they are always followed up by an "Impact Boss", where you fight inside a huge robot. These battles are fun, but somewhat on the easy side. As for graphics, Goemon's Great Adventure is OK, but nothing groundbreaking. Sound is the usual Mystical Ninja tunes, but the theme songs, there were 3 in the previous game, which were fully sung in Japanese, have been cut out for the American release. Characters have voices (though Japanese) in the intro, but nowhere else in the game except the usual attack/jump random yell. I'm sure a lot of people won't own this game, but they are missing out on a great platform game.
