epeejerm's Full Review: Golden Eye 007 for Nintendo 64
Goldeneye 007 was one of the first games produced for N64 and I think it is one of the reasons that Nintendo has remained so popular.
In it, you play the coveted double-oh seven himself, James Bond and get to lead him through the movie, Goldeneye, as well as some other movie moments.
The game has single and multiplayer modes, both of which are equally amazing.
The graphics for this game are great. They are done very well and give you a very realistic view. This realism even plays into one of my favorite aspects of the game, something Goldeneye does that very few other shooting games do: Have kill zones. You can shoot someone in the leg, and temporarily stop them, but not kill them. On the other hand, if you shoot them in the face or chest, they die instantly. I think this is a great feature for any shooting game.
The multiplayer version is just as great. You can pick to play as a variety of characters from the different Bond movies, from Bond himself to Boris (Goldeneye) to Jaws. The object is to then race around shooting your opponent(s) for hours of entertainment.
The wide variety of weapons also adds to the flavor of this game. You can try to beat the game with the weapons given and then go back and try to get through with just other various weapons. The game is a lot more interesting with only a gernade launcher or only throwing knives.
Goldeneye is a great game for the Nintendo 64. Any fans of action games should definately get it, for hours of entertainment.
