This is one game with Mario that, honestly, I didn't really like. I rented it from Blockbuster. Since most games from Blockbuster never have a manual, I was left to my own devices to figure it out. Now, I'm no moron, but I could never really get the jist of the game.
I understood that there were different ways to play, whether facing computer/human opponents or playing mini/regular golf. You have to get through the course with the least possible score. Basically, you have to get the ball in the hole in as few strokes (hits) as possible. You are able to adjust different aspects of the hit, such as how hard the hit is, the angle, and other things that I couldn't quite figure out.
You can pick the character you want to play with, from a selection of characters all from the basic mario games. Mario, Luigi, princess, you get the idea. I think the different characters hit differently, but since I could never really understand the game, I couldn't tell.
If you like golf, and you know how to play in real life, you would probably like this game. But since I didn't have a clue, and I don't enjoy golf, this game wasn't really my thing. But, you have to make the decisiou yourself, and it all depends on whether you like golf or not. This game is worth giving it a try, maybe renting it or something, but I definately wouldn't waste 60 dollars to buy it without trying it and loving it.
