heathers_mom's Full Review: Mario Kart for Nintendo 64
OK. Even I have a tough time playing his game. But I did so on Pole Postion too. So give me a break.
On this game you get to choose from a few different levels. There is the 50cc round or UP. The highest setting even I have a problem with.
The higher the setting. The faster the cars go. You can still choose your rider (Princess Peach, Toadstoole, Mario, Luige, Yoshiee, etc...)
I can't really be truethful if I said this game taught much more then Hand and Eye coorindation. Honestly. These kids did very well for themselves. If I ever learned anything from anyone I had ever baby-sat before it would be Hand-eye cordination and anything to do with real life. No matter what the parent's wanted the kids to be learning while playing video games. This is what they were really learning. How to get a way with cheating (codes) and not get caught. How to win and do if fairly. How to fool the game (we all know what this means. At least any of us over 25.)
This game was a great racing game. My husband and my kids still play this game.
They are told to play it on the 50CC level for the youndest. The topspeed game still blows the youngest too away.
The good part about this game is that you get to play whoever you choose first. You choose who you want to be (Princess Peach, Mario, Luigie, the Mushroom guy* ETC...)
