| rarshowhost's Full Review: Mario Party 2 for Nintendo 64 |
Have you ever wanted a game that you could play with anyone, even people who don't play video games? Here's a game
that can fit that description with ease. I had my mother playing this game with me because it was so simple and fun!
The variety of games that can be played is astonishing. Most games run off of one engine but it seems as if there are
hundreds of mini-engines within this one. The better games of Mario Party are included in this sequel. Some of my favorites
include the track racing and a game in which your character runs on a ball while attempting to know the others out of the small
arena. My friend and I must have played that one game at least fifty times and laughed each time.
There's not a real story line to this game. Your characters are once again fighting with bowser over the control of "the world."
But does a game this fun really need an intricate storyline? The answer is no.
Can you play Mario Party 2 by yourself? Yes, but it is not as fun as playing with real people. This truly is a party game as the
title implies. I won this game through McDonald's Monopoly game and I would have bought it after renting it. The only
improvements I can think of is getting rid of the non-action games or adding more action-packed games.
