NASCAR 2000 is the perfect game for any Nascar enthusiast or just anyone who enjoys playing racing games. It will keep you busy for hours and hours at a time.
This game is great for single players and multi players alike. As a single player, you can race a single race of your choice or you can race in a season. You get to choose which driver/car you are from a list of over 32 real NASCAR drivers. It even includes all of the NASCAR tracks: Talladega to Bristol to California and every stop in between.
This is a game that everyone will enjoy. You are able to control all of your cars settings: horsepower, tire pressure, speed sensitive steering, and many more. You can choose to drive either manual or automatic. Both are great but I suggest that the beginner starts off with automatic.
When racing during a season, the computer maintains real time stats, including championship points, money earned, top ten finishes, and wins. This game is so life like. You even have the option to qualify for races before they begin! Your car does get damage too. There are pit stops though. Another great feature is that you get to choose race lengths, so no you don't have to spend five hours racing around the same track!
The game is rumble pak compatible as well.
There are a couple of down falls to this game though. In order to save your seasons, you need to use a controller pak. It also takes some time to learn how to properly use your brakes. At first you'll be slamming into every wall around the turns. Don't worry though, you'll catch on fast.
Overall, this is a great game that everyone will enjoy. I highly recommend it.
