WoodenNickel's Full Review: NASCAR 2000 for Nintendo 64
Nascar 2000 is a pretty fun game once you get the hang of it. The controls are simple and basic and the game play is OK. It's easy to enjoy but is not perfect.
My first complaint is that you can't play full season. Yes, I have never played a NASCAR game where you could not play a full season. This mostly surprised me because, well, that's one of the main great points of the game. This is probably my major complaint. Second of all, the graphics are just a little too smudgy. You can tell largely that the creators/designers did nto spend a whole lot of time and effort on creating the crowd and the cars themselves are a little smudgy. The controls are also a little jerky. I know you are going over one hundred miles per hour, but the creators could've made it a little easier.
It may seem like I am asking too much, but this is what I think that is appropriate in a NASCAR game. Especially when many people were awaiting the release of this game.
Over all, the game is OK and is enjoyable. I will give it three stars.
