Pros: Loads of fun, four player mode puts it over the top.
Cons: Can be very cheap at times, and annoying.

| Goody_66_99's Full Review: NFL Blitz 2000 for Nintendo 64 |
The sequel to one of the most successful football games ever, is far better than the original Blitz. The four player mode is what puts this pack over the top of all the other games, and the fun factor is great! The graphics are okay, but nothing really eye-popping. The controls are very simple and innovative, and I had no trouble learning them.
The fun factor is great in this Blitz, but there are however faults too. For one, against the CPU every pass you throw is either incomplete or intercepted by the opposing team, and that will really tick you off, believe me! It's much worse against the CPU than against a friend, but the game is still fun other than that.
There are several unique additions to this year's Blitz, such as upgraded player rosters, 4 player mode, on fire mode, and more create-a-play features. Although the create-a-play feature is basically useless, seeing how the plays you design usually never work, it's still a nice touch.
Overall I think NFL Blitz 2000 is far better than Blitz, but still has it's faults. But I couldn't see myself buying this game, but it's a must rent, and if you are a die hard football fan, than maybe you should pick up Blitz 2000.
