Ok, so Robotron is a "classic" video game of old, one of the Grand Daddies of the arcade era of the 1980s when the coin-op was king. What does that have to do with us?
Of course the gaming magazines drooled when word got out that Crave and Midway were working on an updated version in much the same fashion as they did when Atari released a new port of Tempest for the failed Jaguar machine. The rest of us could care less, but they loved it.
As for Robotron 64, it surely does bring me back to the simpler times in gaming. Here, you shoot. Move around, save the innocent bystanders, and shoot some more. There isn't anything to the game itself, except for the shooting, of course, and that limits its potential, not to mention replayability or taking the Nintendo 64's power into consideration.
