This game has quite a following. Just about every avid N 64 player has this one. I spent about a month looking to find it used, but no one will return it. Finally, I turned to Ebay to buy it. However, that was pretty hard. I could not find it used on Ebay, and I lost about five auctions before I finally got it. At any rate, I tell you this to display a little of how great this game is.
What is it?
It is very simple. The graphics are not that great. The boards are small, and there are not many of them. All the game is just a fighting game where you are a Nintendo character and you fight other Nintendo characters. The object is to knock them off the board.
Single Player
The single player mode has you as a character with a few lives. You are placed on different boards facing different opponents with the objective of knocking them off the board and taking all their lives while fighting to save your own. The computer will start you off against one, but soon you will face combinations of characters. At any rate, this is pretty entertaining. However, it doesn't end there. You can also, go into multi-player mode and play against three computer players or have a team combo. Also, you can change the level of play on each computer player. You can pick the board or the computer can select it randomly. This provides limitless combinations for challenging entertainment.
Multi-Player
This is one of the best multi-player games I have ever played. You can have up to four players. If you only have three, you can throw in an extra computer player. You can team up 2 vs. 2 or 3 vs. 1. The options are amazing.
Conclusion
This game is one of N 64's best. The controls are easy to pick up on; so, someone can just pick up a controler and learn quickly. It is a simple game with lots of great challenges for single player and a blast as a multi-player game.
