I've been playing AD&D for a while now and as soon as I heard about Baldur's Gate I just had to buy it. Now this isn't just a game for AD&D players. It's a game everyone can love. I mean who wouldn't want to be back in the medieval times and running a gang of heroes and fighting monsters at every turn? You get to fight everything from Gibberlings to Half-Ogres, and Mages and other great and sometimes very powerful enemies. Baldur's Gate is perhaps one of the greatest RPG games ever made. But wait now they have Baldur's Gate 2 coming out and it's going to be bigger and better than Baldur's Gate, but I recommend playing Baldur's Gate before playing part 2. Since, you can transfer your character and it will give you a good background to the story and what exactly you're going to deal with. Plus it's tons of fun. The only thing I don't like about this game is the level cap. It caps your character off at level 7, which is strong enough for this game, and it leads up to the sequel.
