You slam your food on the gas pedal. hoping to get a lead on your opponent, the clown and his friends. you manage to pull out ahead! all looks good, but just then a hairpin turn comes up and throws you off the track. you take some damage but manage to get back in the race right behind him. you spill some oil and throw off the clown's free cronies.
now, for some history...you are trying to get weapons for a new car you're building. if you beat the clown and his friends, you get them; otherwise, you lose your car.
back to the race...you swerve to avoid some oil and jump over the edge, luckily you land in front of him. you gaze in the rearview mirror as he disappears into your cloud of dust. you win, but wait! he's driving away and his cronies are attacking you!
this is one of the missions that is in the game. i think the game is great. after every mission, you gain parts and get to customize your car from the chassis to the rocketlaunchers mounted on the hood. the singleplayer missions are entertaining and challenging and the skirmishes are downright amazing! the ai is good for when it was made(still is now) and the ability to customize the number of enemies makes it even better.
if that's not enough, the graphics are great even on my 233mhz PII w/ 32 mb ram & 4mb STB Velocity graphics card.
i think this game is great and reccomend it for most gamers out there as well as those who just want to try it. it's amazing how much fun it is blowing up other cars!
