.. because he wins all the races in this game against me, knocks me flat and if it is not Mike it is Rhonda, which my nephews pronounce as Rohanda. And let me tell you I am absolutely pathetic at this game. Somehow these cyberworld simulations don't tickle my fancy.
Well well well, enough of ranting. This is a motorcycle racing game. It has 5 levels and a variety of racecourses to choose from. The difficulty increases as we move up to higher level. However it is not a multi-user game. But what is exciting about this game? Well on your way to racing you can kick, punch and hit with chain your opponents. If he falls he is losing valuable time. The others racers have name and there is a constant update as to who is behind you. All of us hated Mike most; he is a hard hitter and good racer.
Also there are cyber cops policing the course. You can pick up a fight with them too. However make sure that you can knock them out or if you fall and they overtake you, you are busted. You will be spending one month in county jail and will lose all your expertise at that level. Also when a cop is around a siren will go on and be sure to run as fast as you can or knock the cop down. If you are busted the game gets over.
It can also get over if you crash repeatedly (which I do) or knocked down again and again and that will result in your life getting over!! Then you are wrecked and you will be booed by crowd at the end point (happens to me all the time, but I escape by the Esc key you see). I have played this game with arrow keys and shift and ctrl keys.
If you happen to win by hitting and out racing them all, well there is a babe to give you prize etc.
The graphics are good and so is the sound effect. We were quite a crowd and having a nice time playing it though we had to take turns. It was fun.
But let me add that I am not too fond of such games. More so because here you are supposed to hit the pedestrians just for the heck of it in this game! Now I do draw a line somewhere even if it is a game. Though there is an initial warning that this game is only to be played in the cyberspace and in no way should be tried to be in real life. I know a friend who plays this game a lot and when he is on his way home on his bike he says he sure do feels odd that he can't hit and punch...
I personally didn't enjoy this game so much because I am not too fond of computer games in general (I have so much to play in real life like table tennis) but my nephews did like it a lot. So does my husband.
Let me also say that I saw an editorial on violence in games today morning and it sure was thought provoking. But still on a whole kids above 10 can be allowed to play this game if their parents drill it well that it is to be taken very lightly.
